The town is located 64 KM towards North from the district headquarters of Surguja and around 369 KM from the state capital of Raipur. It is surrounded by Shankargarh Tehsil towards East, Lundra Tehsil towards South, Pratappur Tehsil towards west and Ambikapur Tehsil towards South.
